Building Eternal Relationships By Desiring God, Offering Hope, and Creating Belonging

Dream Statements
We desire to be a Church empowered by the Holy Spirit where:

Fellowship draws us into deep community which stirs us to love and good works. (Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 10:24-25)

Service uses our spiritual gifts as an act of worship, to both equip and mature us into servant leaders. (Acts 2:42-47, Romans 12:6–8, 1 Corinthians 12:4–11,1 Corinthians 12:28, John 13:12-15

Discipleship holds us accountable to biblical teaching through authentic, vulnerable, mentoring relationships. (Acts 2:42-47, Titus 2:1-8, Ephesians 4:11-17,  1 Corinthians 11:1)

Evangelism is our mission to bring people into a relationship with Christ by sharing the good news with love and compassion. (Acts 2:42-47, Matthew 9:37-38, 1 Peter 3:15, Acts 1:8, 2 Corinthians 5:20)

Worship is a spirit-led lifestyle in Christ, declaring the goodness of God. (Acts 2:42-47, Psalms 71:15-24, John 4:23-24, Romans 12:1, Ephesians 5:19)

History
While we have had several different names and locations around our community, Prairie Valley Christian Center can trace its roots back to the 1930s. We have always been a Pentecostal Church and even in our earliest days experienced the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Our fellowship is a part of The Assemblies of God which was founded in 1914 in Hot Springs, Arkansas with 300 people at the founding convention. Today there are 13,004 churches in the U.S. with over 3 million members and adherents. There are more than 67 million Assemblies of God members worldwide, making the Assemblies of God the world’s largest Pentecostal denomination.
